This, of course, is not the orthodox vision of spirituality. Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi; we know the Church at prayer does meditate on Christ’s love as the ultimate expression of God’s most wise plan for us all, the plan for which human beings came into existence – to be swept up to the life of God. This is the theme of the great Solemnity of Christ the King, for example.
